West Berkshire Council, Greenham Trust and Pro Vision
A notable public/private sector collaboration between West Berkshire Council, Greenham Trust and it’s planning advisor, Pro Vision, to boost the regeneration of a former military airbase, recognising that the extant planning context was now largely out-dated and ineffective for modern demands. The partners have worked together to address a wide range of complex and interacting issues, including heritage assets, protected environments, landscape impacts and the highway network, and the potential of the previously developed land. The result is a strong, simplified framework of planning control for the next 15 years but allowing flexibility and innovation to meet evolving market needs.
